Just sign up for the Shutterstock contributor account by clicking either "Get Started" or "signup" buttons on the homepage of Shutterstock, in both buttons you will be redirected to the same page where you can make an account by entering basic information. It will get few time to review your application. Don't worry, they will easily approve your application.
After your account is approved then start uploading videos and pics. Website review each pic or video which you will upload. As you can see mentioned in the image at point 2, that what contributor account is and how they get paid.
One plus point you can see is that you can earn by referring contributors or customers, which is basically called affiliate marketing.
